Navigating City regulations can be confusing, hard, and time consuming.  StreetBoxPHL helps communities design and develop interventions that make their communities safer and more attractive.  SBP does this through a variety of activities, whether researching and developing programmatic solutions or facilitating connections with firms, and collaborating on design, construction, and instillation processes.

Planters, parklets, and flexible bollards can be expensive.  StreetBoxPHL will maintain a Street Furniture Library to make it easier for these groups  to access equipment to transform their streets and intersections. SBP will do this by lending this equipment to organized neighbors, for use during the life of their permit.

Projects in the street need to be insured if they are to be permitted by the City.  Insurance can be expensive or intimidating for small community groups.  StreetBoxPHL will develop insurance alternatives that makes affordable for communities to participate in placemaking.
